important dates!

  • May 17th, 5pm Paper entry registration deadline

  • May 23rd, Electronic entry registration deadline

  • May 25th, Noon entry drop-off deadline (Saturday, noon deadline)

  • June 1st Judge and Steward registration deadline

  • June 2, 8 & 9 Judging Days

  • Results will be posted June 23rd on the MaSH site

Registration is now open for the competition! Details for the homebrewing competition are in this pamphlet.

Flights will be judged and awards given using the 2018 NHC Competition Style grouping.

NOTE - It's imperative that for styles where base beer, special ingredients, strength, etc. be included with entries as defined in the BJCP guidelines that this information be provided in the Description field of the county registration site. Failing to provide this information may cause your entry to be placed in an incorrect category or even worse it may be judged incorrectly.

Judge and steward registration

Judges and Stewards please use this Registration link to sign up to assist. If you are planning to be a steward please review these stewarding guidelines to prepare for the event. As a thank you for assisting with the competition the county provides 2 tickets to the fair, which is roughly a $40 value. Please include your address on the registration form if you would like to get tickets, they are mailed to you from the county. MaSH will also have Belgian Ale glasses and some other items to give away. Thank you!

American System of Judging – Awards Offered for Labels

1st Place – $25; 2nd Place – $10; 3rd Place – $5

Submit your label, $3 entry fee per label, on hard card stock or poster board with dimensions in line with a commercial label for a 12 oz bottle or can, OR electronic delivery to marinmashers@gmail.com. For electronic delivery files must be .jpg, .png or .pdf. Judges will be solely responsible for determining eligibility and ranking of all entries received. All entries must comply to TTB guidelines.

Deadline: Label entries must be received no later than May 31st to be eligible for the label competition.
